Park East Square - Blocks 1 & 2, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Location: Blocks 1 & 2 of the Park East Corridor, Milwaukee, WI
Park East Square is the exciting new redevelopment of Blocks 1 & 2 of downtown Milwaukee’s Park East Corridor. The Block 1 site is being developed in two phases. Phase I will feature two hotels, a 128 room branded boutique-Hyatt Place and a 102 room extended stay - Hyatt Summerfield Suites, as well as 7,800 square feet of integrated street-level retail. The two hotels will be located within a single six-story structure which wraps around the southern and western borders of the block. Phase II will contain a 120 unit multi-family development and will be located on the northern and eastern borders of the block. Construction is set to begin in spring 2008. In position, presence, and scale, this mixed-use development is truly the igniting spark of the Park East Corridor redevelopment.
Block 2 will offer a new synergistic development that emphasizes high impact destination shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. Due to its premier, highly visible location, the development is the critical link between the high energy of Milwaukee’s upper Water Street entertainment district and Ogden Street retail corridor.
Phase-one of construction is set to begin in Spring 2007.
